I wonder if this art pre-dates his Conan art? Because with the helmet design the characters are basically identical. I know some might say that the characters WERE identical but reading the stories show that Howard gave Conan and Kull very different personalities. That said, they were of course very similar. Very interesting post. Thanks Mr. DoorTree!
I have been a big fan of BWS ever since his Conan days and I have only seen a couple of pages from this story over the years. How do you do it? How do you keep coming up with these great postings? However you do it, thank you for brightening so many days during the year.
Congratulations and thank you! You are amazing! I have only seen the few panels of this that were reprinted in the Marvel Black and White magazines... Thank you again for sharing.
Thank you so much for posting these. I had only seen the few panels reprinted inSavage Sword 3. According to the text, this were pages to be included in a paperback sized book (like Blackmark later). That explains why there are only 2 panels per page and the nudity... Too bad it never saw light, until now! Thank you again.

Really nice to see Barry's art at this point when it showed so many influences.

Wow! How did you dig this up? Mr. Door Tree, you rock!
Imagine trying to explain Zip-A-Tone to a young whippersnapper! "Why didn't they just use Photoshop grandpa?"
