These days, when I see Frazetta's work, I grieve a bit. In all probability, some day I will be able to look at it and again just enjoy it. But, for now, I think mostly that there can be no more of it.
Although the B&W illustrations were later graced with high quality reproduction in various books, there is something about the look of the Science Fiction book club reproductions which is to this day really appealing. Doubleday got Richard Corben to do the last Mars collection, and he did a great job.
I have always been a fan of Frazetta and ERB. I have an ACE paperback of "The Lost Continent" by ERB with a Frazetta cover. I have never seen it in any of your postings or in any of several books I have covering Frazetta. Although not one of his finest or most detailed works I always liked it. Are you familiar with it and could possibly include in a future post. I can scan and email if you don't have it.
