Howdy,

Thank you for these. Growing up in the late sixties/early seventies, I was drawn to the paperback detective novels of Carter Brown because of the McGinnis covers. One of my fave artists.

I'm really enjoying the "itch" that you're scratching over the last few days.

I loved the post but I want to comment about the blog. It's been a few years since I found this site and I watch it daily, although I never thought about commentate. Every day for the past years I sit down in my computer when I need to calm down and enjoy every new post and amazingly share all your tastes and points of view about art, and more than a mere amusement, is also a school to me. Besides of every time I need to search for information or specific material, and consult this infallible source for the first place. I always think of who will selflessly put so much effort and compromise on something so rich and useful to culture without asking nothing in exchange, and admire and thank the concept of that person. So after reading the monday editorial comment, I decided to convey this gratitude, at least as the minimum thing I could do to show you the support of someone touched for your labor.

Incredibly awesome post of a brilliant artist. I'll be returning to this page often for reference.

There's a good documentary on McGinnis out on DVD from the same people who put out the James Bama one accompanying the Bama book. While McGinnis isn't one of my favorites, I do recognize his talents.

McGinnis is my favorite paperback cover artist. The first McGinnis original I ever saw in person was Chrysalis. That was in 2005. It made me an instant fan. OMG did it ever.
