Of course, as Foster related, he wasn't doing his best work in the beginning; but, after he received fan mail, he realized that there was an appreciative audience, and began making more of an effort.

(I wish that I could do as well at my best as Foster did when slacking!)

Love the Hal Foster works. Can you post some of his Prince Valiant work?
